WorldVeg is an agricultural research and international development organization bringing the benefits of vegetables to the world, ensuring that nutrition, sustainability, and equity shape the global food system.
While WorldVeg’s research impacts millions globally, securing funding remains a challenge. Despite their essential role in health, sustainability, and economic resilience, vegetables receive only a small share of global R&D investments, limiting research, conservation, and outreach efforts.
The organization asked Think Green to help them more effectively engage donors, increase the reliability of their revenue streams, and strengthen their outreach.
Due to the scientific nature of WorldVeg’s work, the organization found itself with an engagement challenge. The overly complex presentation of its research threatened to reduce engagement and limit funding for critical research precisely when global nutrition challenges demand expansion rather than contraction.
Creating a storytelling that can embark your interlocutor almost instantly. Get his attention, put forward the problematics and why it matters today and tomorrow.
To engage a broader audience, we enriched WorldVeg’s messaging by adding more relatable, human-centered narratives alongside its technical content. This approach ensured the organization’s mission resonated more deeply with donors, policymakers, and the general public, making agricultural research more accessible and inspiring stronger support.
We then harvested WorldVeg’s technical expertise and replanted it in a fertile, narrative-rich soil by developing a strategic communications framework that:
To drive increased awareness and encourage donors to connect with the cause, we refined the organization’s fact-driven approach and simplified the messaging to deliver more relatable, human-centered narratives that encouraged stronger support, attracted greater investment, and drove long-term impact.
We then delivered a restructured pitch deck to better engage new stakeholders and partners by more effectively communicating the significance of their research and demonstrating real-world impact.
